Tennis seems to be getting trendier this year! I mean, in Ontario, what else is there really to do outdoors other than stay active. As of about a week ago, access to outdoor recreational facilities opened again after being shut down/locked out.. Anyways, last year we got a lot of use out of our cheap tennis rackets from Facebook Marketplace and some Wilson tennis balls from Walmart. This year, the courts were busy and there are only a few in Clarington!
Growing up, the high school that I attended and lived super close to had courts but they’re no longer there. According to the municipality of Clarington’s website there are tennis courts at:
Green Park: 7 Boswell Drive, Bowmanville
Stuart Park: 58 Stuart Road, Courtice
Solina Park: 1964 Concession Road 6, Solina
Orono Park: 61 Princess Street, Orono (CLOSED)
Lions Parkette: 26 Beech Avenue, Bowmanville
Guildwood Park: 180 Guildwood Drive, Bowmanville
Avondale Park: 100 Avondale Drive, Courtice
There are a few on here that we haven’t checked out but the Green Park courts are our favourite!
