MORE ABOUT AIR PLANTS

If you’re the type of person who likes plants but have a legit black thumb and just can’t care for any plants, don’t give up. I think you might like an air plant! Tillandsia plants, aka air plants, come in hundreds of different varieties – some even bloom! While most actually grow on trees, they are all epiphytes. This means they will grow without soil. Since air plants don’t require any soil, you can get pretty creative with displaying them. I have mine set up in a wooden box with decor, resting on soil but they are not planted.

Another one of my air plants is actually in a glass display with a wooden base with no air flow. This seems odd, but it happens to be the most healthiest! Some people display them in hanging glass terrariums, you could display these on shelves or hang them from above.

I continue to mist it every few days and it gets humid in the glass but has grown a lot over the last year. Air plants can be expensive, depending on where you are and where you buy them from.

Honestly super easy to care for! They don’t need direct sunlight and can survive with just being in a bright, warm room. Of course, the more humid the better but if you continue to spray them every couple days they will be happy.
