If you are looking for a rate card, or if you have a set rate for every brand partnership.. you’re doing it wrong! My first question when setting rates is always “what is the focus of the campaign?” Most of the time it is for sales, brand awareness or for content — often it’s a combination. That’s the first thing. You likely would not charge a small town company with one location the same as you would charge a huge corporation. However, you do need to be compensated for not only the content creation but also the brand awareness that your brand benefits from when they tap in to your community.
The obvious things like how many posts/pieces of content and the size of the audience are notable… but there are some key things to consider in order to have a successful influencer partnership:
– how aligned are your brands?
– is their following real? do they do loop giveaways? do they do comment pods?
– what is their engagement rate?
– audience: is it the same as your ideal client/audience? don’t assume it is!
– usage rights: where is it being used and for how long?
– ownership: is this a work for hire thing or nah?
– exclusivity: is or is not required? this could be a loss of work
– turn around time: is this rushed?
Let’s not forget that influencers/creators save brands the traditional expense of studios/locations, props, equipment, software, production team and more.
Could you believe there are more things to consider? This is why you hire a pro like me! Influencer marketing is a multiple billion-dollar industry.
