Ever since having my own car I have used the four different seasons through out the year to stay on top of my car maintenance. Fall came quickly this year and it was time to do a deep clean and thorough vacuuming. This month I have got to take my vehicle in for an oil change and soon enough will need to swap my winter tires on. I can see the difference snow tires makes while driving in the cold, snowyy Ontario winters we have. Not only do I feel safer, more in control but snow tires will also use a little bit more gas so don’t forget to switch them. This will also help ensure you keep the deep traction that snow tires have compared to an all season tire.

As Winter starts to approach, don’t forget to carry a kit specific for Winter driving. This is especially important if you’re doing any longer trips up North or to visit family over the next few months. I suggest keeping booster cables on board, a blanket, wind-up flashlight, matches and a candle, food that won’t spoil, extra clothing and of course a scraper/snowbrush.
