BRAND HIGHLIGHT: NALA CARE

I’ve been using free-from deodorants for a couple years now. When I started wearing this stuff, I always went for the big names: Old Spice, Speedstick, Adidas; I’ve tried them all. For some reason, these deodorants don’t like my armpits! I had literal burns on my pits. Pretty sure it’s because they are full of junk.

Nala Care is a Vancouver based company that creates free-from deodorant. To expand on that, the product is free-from:

• Aluminum (linked to issues with the liver, kidney and the brain!)
• Phthalates (messes with hormone levels)
• Parabens (known to cause cancer)
• Carcinogen (known substances linked to cancer)
• Propylene Glycol (a neurotoxin that damages kidneys and the liver)
• Cruelty (never tested on animals)

For the last week, I have been testing out the Sandalwood + Bergamot scent. It’s the highest strength of their three deodorants. The scent has a sweet bergamot touch mixed with the scent of fresh chopped wood. I personally don’t think I had an adjustment period from my switch but I also did the switch years ago. Just remember, if you’re switching to a healthier deodorant option you may notice your pores are letting go of toxins which results in more sweat!
