If you don’t have plants around your home or office, you should get some! Plants are a great decoration that not only look great but they also had some life to your space. Plants can also help to purify air and are proven to reduce stress levels.
On my desk, you’ll find:
Pilea
I love this one! It’s also been thriving lately and pretty sure it’s on it’s way to becoming a full on tree. It’s set up right on the corner of my desk and has produced over five babies which I’ve shared with my co-workers. The Pilea is also known as the chinese money tree, or a UFO plant. It almost looks like a lily pad! It has circular, thicker than regular leaves.
Parlour Palm
I’d say these are one of the most sought after palms available. That’s likelt because they thrives in our homes and workplaces where other plantss may not do so well in. They’re pretty easy to care for and they’re also very affordable.
Pothos
If you kill this plant, you should probably just stick to fake plants for now. They are very easy to care for. They can survive in forgiving environments but do best in bright yet indirect light. If you need a plant for spaces with low light, the pothos is ideal. They can be grow in dry soil or in vases of water. However, they do best in moist, nutrient filled soils.
Snake
There are 70+ species of the snake plant. They are all native to tropical and sub-tropical regions of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Caring for this plant is very straightforward. These plants can be ignored for weeks at a time and still look cute!
The honourable mentions go to my two children, who are too big for my desk so are set up around my desk… my monstera and my fiddle leaf fig!
So now you know, houseplants are great for not only your health — but for their natural, visual beauty too. At work place plants with broad leaves on your desk. They will provide some privacy, reduce sound levels and help increase levels of positivity overall.
